Building Assent: Creating a Learning Profile to Help Motivate Your Learner to Respond While Acknowledging Assent Withdrawal.
2 General CEUs
Presenter: Elizabeth Bart, BCBA
A note from the presenter:
You know, I am always looking for advancements in Compassionate Care so I have attended several CEU events on Assent Withdrawal over the past few years. Yet Something always bugged me about it.
Don’t get me wrong, I am a firm believer in acknowledging assent withdrawal. But as a clinical supervisor, I wanted to be able to explain to my staff that it is EQUALLY as important to focus on gaining assent behavior as it is to acknowledge assent withdrawal.
Acknowledging Assent Withdrawal is not an “excuse to become babysitters,” right? Let’s prove those skeptics wrong and show that we can be compassionate while also motivating our learners to make exceptional progress!
…And a new CEU event was born. I truly hope this helps you in your everyday practice!
